MANAGED SERVICE

Even with clear and growing demand for diagnostic services, it is not always possible for a hospital to justify the purchase of imaging equipment. For a new or extended service, capital costs can be prohibitive and hospitals must also commit to the future costs of upgrades and replacements.

Operationally, the hospital also has to find both the budget and the experienced staff needed to set up, manage and maintain a new department and service.

SG Radiology can deliver a comprehensive solution to these problems. We can fund all the immediate and future purchase costs and manage the new department to the standards you set. We will create an imaging department that becomes an integral part of your hospital, where you pay only for the scans and services you choose.

Rely on us
SG Radiology has extensive experience of managing the end-to-end process of commissioning a new or extended scanning service. We work closely with you at every step to ensure that the new facility meets your clinical needs.

Our experienced staff will take you through each step of the process from building new accommodation, ordering your scanners and ancillary equipment, CQC registration, recruitment of staff and complete integration with all your hospital’s systems and services.

Our fully managed in house imaging service then provides on-going management of the facility so we provide the diagnostic imaging services your patients need but you retain control of standards and performance.

Flexible integrated service
We at SG Radiology aim to be a natural extension of your existing offering to patients becoming another of your hospital’s many departments.

Our services are completely integrated with your RIS PACS systems and work seamlessly with your hospital facilities.

We can cover the receipt of referrals and booking of patients as well as the scanning service and full clinical reporting.

As much or as little as you need. The service we deliver will be designed together so we meet all of your needs

Financial peace of mind
In a joint partnership, we fund the capital cost of all imaging equipment purchases now and in the future. Our charges to you are based on a cost per scan and our service agreements ensure you won’t be paying penalties for breaching patient waiting time targets.

You will see a reduction in cost compared with a mobile imaging service, and we even share revenues with you for third party work directed through your facility.

State of the art clinical systems for patients and referrers
SG Radiology offers a centralised booking system, patients are able to choose an appointment date and time that is convenient for them and can elect to receive appointment reminders via a range of methods including telephone, email or SMS.

Patients can also receive their scan preparation information by either post or email,

The ability to integrate seamlessly with referrers has been at the heart of the design of SG Radiology’s clinical systems platform. A dedicated integration engine ensures that SG can support a range of integration solutions including both HL7 and DICOM, and single or bi-directional interfaces. Furthermore, SG Radiology has a dedicated team of interface specialists to support the workflow specification and interface design and development process.

If a full HL7/DICOM interface is not required, referring organisations are able to register referrals electronically via connection to our in house booking team, thereby speeding up the referral process and reducing clinical risk.
